Onkel Norbert is an organic farm located in beautiful Carinthia, Austria and preserves a very rare breed of cattle called “Kärnter Blondvieh” which was on the brink of extinction in 1980. They could not compete with industrial beef cattle because they do not grow as fast and as big. These beautiful blonde cows are native to Corinthia since the 18th century and well known for their high quality meat but could also be used as diary cattle - they’re dual purpose breeds! On Onkel Norbert’s farm the cows can roam freely during summer on fields in the corinthian countryside to graze finest grass and herbs. High quality feed and freedom of movement bring out the full delicate taste and tenderness of the Kärnter Blodvieh’s meat.
